Pogba, 22, is expected to leave Juve at the end of the season.
City are in the running to sign the France international, alongside Chelsea and Barcelona.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly considering an eye-watering offer for the ex-Manchester United player.
Pogba will head to Euro 2016 with the France team seeking to win the tournament on home soil.
Chelsea are expected to make an early bid for his services, knowing both Barca and City could also meet Juve's £73million (€100m) valuation.
As for City, they are expected to hand Guardiola an open chequebook when the Bayern Munich boss arrives in June, with a number of targets supposedly already on his shopping list.
