Louis van Gaal has ruled out the possibility of recalling striker James Wilson from his loan spell at Brighton after Wayne Rooney's injury blow.
Rooney is set for up to six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem, but Van Gaal insists he has Will Keane, Anthony Martial and Mempthis Depay who can cover in the United captain's absence.
"At this point I can call James Wilson back," the United boss explained. "But at this point I have possibilities with Will Keane and Anthony Martial. Also there is Memphis Depay."
Banega is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with moves to both United and Serie A giants Inter Milan.
And the Daily Mirror claim Sevilla are lining up a £3.5million move for Yacob as Banega's replacement, should they fail to reach an agreement over a new deal for the 27-year-old.

And finally, Liverpool target and FC Midtjylland midfielder Mikkel Duelund has revealed his dream is to play for United ahead of their Europa League clash tonight.
"My ultimate dream in football would be to play for Manchester United, but here and now my biggest ambition is to knock out the team I love," he said.
"My only focus is on football and to do my best for the team. I’m not a fan in this situation. I’m a player, who will do everything to beat them."
