Liverpool set to move for La Liga goalkeeper as doubts remain over Simon Mignolet
LIVERPOOL are interested in bringing Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan to Anfield, according to reports in Spain.
Antonio Adan started his career with Real Madrid
Current No 1 Simon Mignolet was handed a new long-term contract earlier this season, but the 27-year-old has come under fire for a number of poor performances.
Meanwhile Adam Bogdan, who joined from Bolton in the summer, has struggled on Merseyside and is expected to leave at the end of the season.
And the Reds are now looking for reinforcements, with Spanish news outlet AS claiming they are interested in signing Betis goalkeeper Adan in the summer.
Jurgen Klopp has made the 28-year-old his No 1 target due to his experience of top-level football.
Adan started his professional career at Real Madrid, and has been with Betis since 2014, making more than 75 league appearances for the Andalusian club.
The Spaniard has a £6.2million release clause in his contract which has alerted a number of Premier League clubs.
Sunderland and Southampton are also thought to be interested in a move for Adan at the end of the season.
