Manchester United managerial target Jose Mourinho turns down job offer
JOSE MOURINHO has turned down a job offer from China and an offer from Italy since being sacked by Chelsea, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December
The Sun claim the Portuguese manager has rejected the offers while he waits for the call to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.
Van Gaal is under huge pressure at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils currently six points off of a top four spot following Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Sunderland.
And they look set to part company with the Dutchman if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, which is becoming increasingly more likely.
Mourinho, who was sacked by the Blues in December, has already held talks with the Red Devils about replacing Van Gaal.
He was contacted by an intermediary representing United soon after leaving Chelsea and was told to sit tight and not accept any other offers.
And Express Sport understands the 53-year-old has told friends it is already a 'done deal' for him to replace Van Gaal at Old Trafford.
