Juventus push to make Man Utd and Arsenal target their highest-paid player
JUVENTUS have rekindled their interest in Manchester United and Arsenal target Edinson Cavani, according to reports.
Edinson Cavani is expected to leave PSG this summer
Cavani, 29, is understood to have once again caught the eye of club bosses in Turin after a failed attempt to sign the striker three years ago.
The Uruguay international is excepted to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 champions are apparently seeking Galactico-style recruits this summer, with Cavani set to be sacrificed in Laurent Blanc's reshuffle.
And Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the striker could end up back in Serie A.
As for Juve, it is claimed they are willing to make Cavani their highest-paid player to snub United, with a £5.4m-a-season contact in the offering.
Juve director general Beppe Marotta said of Cavani: “He is an appealing player."
Juve tried to sign the striker back in 2013 after he had led Napoli to a second-place finish in Serie A.
He finished as the league's top scorer that year with 29 goals before securing his switch to PSG.
