John Terry's current contract at Chelsea expires in the summer
Terry captained his side to victory against the MK Dons yesterday as the Blues qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup to set up a meeting with Manchester City.
But Wilkins, a former Stamford Bridge great, believes the 35-year-old has been treated unfairly by the club he has given everything for.
“I think he [Terry] is annoyed. He’s Chelsea through and through. To lose someone as influential as John could be a slight error,” Wilkins told talkSPORT.
“Guus [Hiddink] will be flabbergasted by it because it was a recommendation from him to give John another year at the club.
“He’s an enormous follower of John. He admires him immensely because he controls and works that dressing room.

“But it’s the club’s prerogative to make these decisions.”
Terry has already stated that he won't play for another Premier League club and Wilkins believes a big-money move to the States or China could be on the cards.
“John is a blue, he’s a Chelsea boy. His statement goes towards him thinking the MLS or China," Wilkins added.
“You can’t imagine him a different colour. It’s clear that he’s not going to play for another club in this country.”
