Aston Villa desperate to add new faces before deadline day as Garde suffers triple blow
ASTON VILLA were battling to avoid a transfer window nightmare last night after suffering a day of major blows in their efforts to improve their squad.
Remi Garde was reeling from at least three new setbacks and faces a race against time to add to his side before Monday's transfer deadline.
Villa, who are at home to Manchester City in the FA Cup today, have yet to sign a player this month and the FA last night blocked their final attempt to force through a deal for Croatia goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic.
