Manchester United slammed for poor management of Memphis Depay
MANCHESTER UNITED have been criticised by a leading fitness coach for their management of Memphis.
Memphis has been sparingly used by Manchester United this season
Memphis, who joined United from PSV Eindhoven in a £25million deal last summer, has failed to recapture the form he displayed in the Eredivisie in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old Dutchman hasn’t started a match since following his disappointing performance in United’s 2-0 defeat away to Stoke on Boxing Day that saw him taken off at half-time.
And fitness coach Raymond Verheijen, who has worked with the Netherlands national side, has accused United of ‘mismanaging’ Memphis.
“If you look at Memphis Depay, you can use an objective reference, in this case a metaphor, to explain his situation,” Verheijen told Squawka.
