Confirmed: £38.1million Liverpool and Arsenal target agrees deal
INAKI WILLIAMS has signed a new long-term deal at Athletic Bilbao.
Inaki Williams has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao
The 21-year-old has had a fine season with Bilbao, scoring six goals in 14 La Liga appearances.
And the Spain Under-21 international is officially the fastest player in the Spanish league after being clocked at 22.2 miles per hour during Atletico's 1-1 draw with Deportivo in May.
Williams was linked with moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool last week after it emerged he had a £15.2million release clause in his contract.
Gunners scouts reportedly watched the forward against Villarreal last Wednesday, where he scored the only goal in a 1-0 away win in the Copa del Rey.
But it now looks like he will be staying in Spain after he agreed a new contract with the Basque club.
His new deal keeps him in La Liga until the summer of 2021 and has increased his buy-out clause to £38.1m.
