David De Gea posts farewell message on Twitter as Man Utd star nears exit
DAVID DE GEA has sent a farewell message to fellow Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes on Twitter.
David De Gea wishes Victor Valdes luck ahead of Standard Liege move
Valdes, 34, is reportedly close to joining Standard Liege on loan for the remainder of the season, when his United contract expires.
The Spaniard, who is yet to feature this term, has been exiled from the first team after a bust up with Louis van Gaal in the close season.
And now De Gea, United's first choice shot-stopper, has wished his compatriot luck ahead of his temporary move to Belgium.
The 25-year-old tweeted: "We learn a lot from the best! Good luck my friend in this new stage! @1victorvaldes."
