The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this week, with Spanish radio station Cadena Cope claiming United had stepped up efforts to sign the midfielder.
The report suggested the Red Devils would make a £15million bid for the Spain U21 international - expected to be Micheal Carrick's long-term successor.
"I am happy for the goals, but mostly because the team is doing well.”
The midfielder has scored five goals in 35 appearances for Atletico and has been capped 15 times by Spain at U21 level.
