Italian club to offer forgotten Arsenal star swift January exit
ROMA are reportedly ready to revive Mathieu Debuchy's career by offering the Arsenal full-back a way out of the north London club.
Debuchy is hoping to make the France squad for Euro 2016 next summer
Debuchy, 30, has lost his place in the Arsenal first team to 20-year-old ace Hector Bellerin.
The France right-back has made just six appearances for the club this season and has not recovered his place since suffering an injury in a game against Stoke in January last year.
The former Newcastle full-back, who is also reportedly wanted by Lyon, could act as a replacement for the ageing Douglas Maicon at Roma.
Discussing the Debuchy's future this week, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger accepted he may reluctantly let the reserve go.
“It’s not impossible Debuchy will leave,” Wenger said. “I’m happy for him to stay, but we'll see.”
