Manchester City boss slams suggestions that Pep Guardiola rumours will derail title bid
MANUEL PELLEGRINI has dismissed suggestions that the intense speculation over his future will de-rail Manchester City’s title bid.
Manuel Pellegrini could be replaced by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City
And Pellegrini insists he is relaxed about the rumours that Pep Guardiola has been lined up to replace him in the summer.
Former Barcelona coach Guardiola has confirmed he is leaving Bayern Munich at the end of his contract and the football world expects him to move to the Etihad Stadium, where he has strong links with City chief executive Ferran Soriano and sporting director Txiki Begiristain, who both worked with him at Barcelona.
With City officials not dampening down the speculation, it has been suggested the players could view Pellegrini as a ‘lame duck’ manager and undermine their performances.
