Chelsea and Man City have £14.5m transfer bids for youngster rejected
MANCHESTER CITY and Chelsea have both been snubbed over approaches to sign Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, according to reports in Italy.
Amadou Diawara has made 15 appearances for Bologna this season
Diawara, 18, has already made 15 appearances in his debut season at Bologna.
The Guinea youngster has reportedly attracted the eye of the two Premier League giants after impressing in Serie A.
As for City, boss Manuel Pellegrini is expected to spend once again in January, having parted with over £100m in the summer window.
Their interest in Diawara was confirmed by the player's agent last month.
"There is a strong interest of Chelsea," Robert Visan told Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
"Also the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Juventus follow him [but] with them I never speak of offers, only football."
