Arsenal striker slammed over 'pointless' summer transfer
AJAX youngster Richairo Zivkovic has hit out Arsenal loanee Yaya Sanogo.
Richairo Zivkovic says he's better than Yaya Sanogo
The Holland U19 international was sent out on loan this season to fellow Eredivisie side Willem II.
And the club replaced him with the Gunners striker Sanogo, who previously had a loan spell at Crystal Palace.
However, since the Frenchman arrived at Ajax he's struggled to have any impact and his first-team hopes have gone out the window.
The 22-year-old has since been palmed off to Jong Ajax, their B team, who compete in the second division - Eerste Divisie.
Richairo Zivkovic has scored twice for Willem II this season
And Zivkovic is frustrated that he has been replaced by the Arsenal youngster, insisting he is a better player and the decison to bring Sanogo in was pointless.
"Am I better than Sanogo? Yes," he told Dutch publication ELF Voetbal.
Yaya Sanogo has been a flop since joining Ajax on loan
"I was already gone when Sanogo came in but then Kolbeinn Soghtorsson left and I wanted to compete with Arek Milik for the first striker position.
"I did not want to be a second striker with no prospect of being a first striker."
Sanogo has played just 47 minutes of league football this term, whereas Zivkovic has scored twice in 12 games for Willem.
