ARSENE WENGER is using a member of Arsenal's double winning team of 1998 to help scout Porto youngster Ruben Neves.
Could Ruben Neves solve Arsenal's midfield crisis
But Boa Morte, who also played in the Premier League for Southampton, Fulham and West Ham, had a wasted trip as Neves remained on the bench in Porto's 4-0 win over Uniao da Madeira.
Arsenal are among a number of clubs, including Chelsea, who are reportedly interested in the player.
Wenger has been hit by several injuries in midfield, the latest of which could see Santi Cazorla miss the next three months with a knee ligament injury.
Earlier this week, Neves was quoted as saying he is under contract at Porto and seemingly happy to remain with the Portuguese club.
