Arsenal plot to replace Danny Welbeck with £32m striker
DANNY WELBECK’S injury woes will force Arsenal into signing a striker this January, according to reports.
Mauro Icardi - Spotlight On
Front man Welbeck has been out injured since the summer and had knee surgery in early September.
The England international is not expected to return to the first team until the new year - and even then will be rusty.
Welbeck arrived in north London in a £16m deal just weeks after Louis van Gaal had taken over at Old Trafford.
The striker, 25, last played for Wenger’s side in April.
As for Icardi, the Argentina international boasts just four goals in 11 appearances so far this season.
