La Liga defender admits interest from Chelsea as Jose Mourinho looks strengthen in January
AYMEN ABDENNOUR has revealed Chelsea attempted to sign him in the summer.

By the end of the transfer window, Chelsea signed Papy Djilobodji from Nantes but he has only made just one appearance against Walsall in the Capital One Cup.
While Abdennour left Monaco and signed a five-year deal with Valencia for an undisclosed fee.
And he admitted that although there was interest from Chelsea, he was attracted to Valencia by owner Peter Lim's project.
“There were a lot of clubs I could have gone to play for in England or in Italy, but in the the end [Peter] Lim’s project was what attracted me,” he told Super Deporte.
“I felt really flattered by Valencia’s interest and it’s really good [to be here].

“[Chelsea?] Yes, it’s true that there was interest.”
Chelsea look set for a business January transfer window with Saido Berahino linked with a £20m move to Stamford Bridge while Radamel Falcao appears likely to leave.
Stones, Robin van Persie and Mario Gomez have also been rumoured to be Chelsea targets in the new year.
