Tottenham and Southampton told £14.5m January deal won't happen as Napoli eye summer swoop
PALERMO are willing to sell star midfielder Franco Vazquez - but not until next summer.
Franco Vazquez (right) was reportedly wanted by Spurs and Saints in the summer
Vazquez, 26, was subject to serious interest from Premier League and Serie A clubs during the final week of the previous transfer window.
Tottenham and Southampton both reportedly had £14.5million bids for the ace rejected by Palermo, with club president Maurizio Zamparini insisting he would not sell up.
Southampton, meanwhile, brought in Juanmi from Malaga in a £5m transfer over the summer and Oriol Romeu from Chelsea.
Neither club appear to have expressed much interest in Vazquez since, leaving Napoli and fellow suitors Juventus to battle for the ace come July.
