Neymar fed up of living in shadow of Lionel Messi and paves the way for Man Utd move
NEYMAR will ask to leave Barcelona because of concerns that his career will stagnate, according to reports.
Neymar - Spotlight on
The Brazilian is currently the main man at Barca because of Lionel Messi's absence, but remains concerned he'll be forced back into the Argentine's shadow on his return from injury.
Speculation as to where his future lies was rife all summer and Manchester United are understood to have made a bid.
Reports claim they made an offer of around £139million and the 22-year-old's father has confirmed that United contacted the La Liga giants over a potential move.
"United phoned Barcelona and got the answer that Neymar has a contract and is not for sale," he previously told Spanish publication Sport.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claims it is a move he would "categorically consider", while the player himself admits that talks were held with United officials.
Neymar is reported to be considering his Barcelona future
The Brazilian is said to be concerned at playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi
And Spanish newspaper Don Balon are now claiming he is considering his options once again.
It is believed that Neymar is desperate to win the Ballon d'Or and feels he will never do that while Messi remains a Barca player.
The report claims he wants a new challenge of becoming a true leader at another European powerhouse, and United could well fit that bill.
