Barca branded financial 'liars' as crisis looms after Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton deals
BARCELONA will have to sell a new "wave" of talented players to balance the books, former president Joan Laporta claims.
We're missing Messi - Busquets
The Nou Camp club have been unable to sign players since the 2014 summer transfer window after FIFA imposed a worldwide ban.
They are expected to made big-money bids for Philippe Coutinho, Nolito and Sofiane Feghouli come January when the embargo is lifted.
"Alexis Sanchez, Pedro, Deulofeu… this was the first wave," Laporta warned.
"Other players will have to leave to balance the books."
Laporta was president of Barca between 2003 and 2010.
He was replaced by Sandro Rossell, who in turn lost his post to Bartomeu last year.
