And La Liga expert Guillem Balague has previously stated that this season will be his last in Spain, with French giants PSG also showing interest.
However, according to former United captain Ferdinand, Ronaldo would never return to the Red Devils as his Champions League prospects would be too low.
“He doesn’t have time to waste. He hasn’t got time for a transitional period. So that ends the conversation.”
The Portuguse is Madrid’s record goal-scorer, netting 325 times in 311 appearances since his £80m move to the Spanish capital from United in 2009.
