ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has hit back at his Manchester United counterpart Louis van Gaal after his call for a winter break in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger disagrees with Louis van Gaal's stance on Christmas games
Van Gaal, whose side will play seven matches between December 12 and January 13, claims the the hectic Christmas fixture list is 'the most evil thing of this culture'.
But Wenger is not a fan of the proposal, insisting he would cry if the Premier League lost its festive tradition.
"To suppress the game on Boxing Day… The whole of Europe comes to England to watch the game.
"It’s a very important part of us being popular in the world, that nobody works at Christmas and everybody watches the Premier League."
