Louis van Gaal reveals shock plans ahead of next season
MANCHESTER UNITED manager Louis van Gaal has revealed he intends to use a 4-3-3 formation next season.
Louis van Gaal says Man United will play 4-3-3 next season
During the Red Devils' pre-season tour of the United States Van Gaal seemed to be using a 4-2-3-1.
But when questioned over his tactical plans ahead of the new campaign, he admitted United would line up in a shape closer to 4-3-3.
He said: "More or less 4-3-3. We played that already last season, in the second half of the season, and I have said that is the system I want to use.
"We played in our shape [on tour] and played how we have to play. That's also where I have been very satisfied."
United kick off the 2015/16 season at home to Tottenham and will be hoping for a better start than last term when they lost 2-1 at home to Swansea.
