Emmanuel Frimpong has blasted Russian Football Union after a racism row
The Ufa midfielder, formerly of Arsenal, was sent off last Friday for raising a finger to Spartak Moscow fans.
Frimpong later claimed he was provoked by racial abuse from a supporter, but that claim was shut down by the RFU yesterday when the 23-year-old was given a two-match ban.
"Been banned for two games," he said. "Acceptable on my part for the gesture, no problems with that. But for the Russian FA to say they didn't hear or see any evidence of racism is beyond a joke."
