Arsenal step up summer transfer business with move for Schalke defender
ARSENAL are ready to swoop for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac, according to reports.
Arsenal are considering a move for the Bosnia defender
The 22-year-old left-back is also capable of playing in midfield but has emerged as a possible replacement for Nacho Monreal.
Monreal has been linked with a return to Spain this summer with Athletic Bilbao thought to be keen.
Kolasinac played for Bosnia at the 2014 World Cup and has progressed through the youth ranks at Schalke.
However last season he only made six Bundesliga appearances with Schalke finishing sixth in the Europa League spots.
Arsenal's only piece of in-coming transfer business so far has been the £10million signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea.
But reports in Italy, from Tutto Mercato, claim the Gunners are considering making an offer for Kolasinac as Arsene Wenger prepares his squad for the new season.
