Danny Ings scored his first Liverpool goal in a friendly in Adelaide today
The England U21 striker scored in Liverpool's 2-0 friendly victory over Adelaide United today.
It was his first strike since arriving from Burnley as a free agent earlier this month.
And the 22-year-old revelled in his performance.
“It was a massive moment for me because moving to a new club can take a little while to settle in," he told LFC TV.
“I felt in previous games I've been lashing at chances but I took that well.
“When you come to a club like Liverpool, the sheer size of it is a big deal and I'm just delighted I can get my first goal and hopefully the first of many.”

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers praised Ings for his goal in the win, which brings the Australia leg of their tour to a close.
"I think it will do well for his confidence," Rodgers said of the goal.
"He has come in and he has worked very hard.
"He knows he is a work in progress, coming into a club of this stature, he knows it will take time."
Liverpool now face a Malaysia XI in Kuala Lumpur on Friday before a final friendly clash with HJK Helsinki in Finland before the Premier League season gets underway.
