Paris Saint-Germain to sign Man United flop Di Maria this weekend but rule out Cavani swap
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are reportedly confident of securing a move for Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria by the end of the week, however Edinson Cavani will not be part of the deal.
Angel Di Maria - Spotlight On
While Di Maria has been told he will get more first-team action after Robin van Persie's move to Fenerbahce, it is unknown how long the Argentina international will remain at United and Louis van Gaal has remained coy over the future of his record-signing.
But PSG are now said to be hopeful of securing a move for the striker by the end of the week.
However, the Ligue 1 side will not include Edinson Cavani as part of the deal, according to the Daily Telegraph.
PSG are hoping to sign Angel Di Maria this weekend
Cavani has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, but PSG consider the Uruguay international as one of their star assets and are reluctant to let him leave.
While United are hopeful of Di Maria remaining at the club, it is understood that if an offer close to their valuation of the striker was received, it would be accepted.

As of yet, no official approach has been made, however a £40million bid is expected to be made by PSG.
Di Maria has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since making his record-breaking transfer from Real Madrid.
The striker scored just three goals in 27 appearances last season.
