Spain star issues plea to Chelsea despite interest from Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool
BARCELONA winger Pedro is holding out for a move to Chelsea, according to reports.
Pedro Player Profile
Spanish publication Sport claims the Spain international is keen on a move to West London despite being heavily linked with a number of Premier League clubs.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool were believed to be interested, while it was understood Manchester United might enter the race.
The World Cup winner issued a statement last week saying he was prepared to fight for his place at Barca.
But it appears his future lies elsewhere after the buy-out clause in his contract was slashed.
If Pedro moves to the Premier League Chelsea could be his preferred destination
The fee is believed to be in the region of £21.5million and Blues boss Jose Mourinho is ready to splash the cash.
The signing of Pedro could set the ball rolling as first-team opportunities at the Nou Camp could be limited next season.
The 27-year-old is already behind Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the pecking order, while Arda Turan was signed recently and provides further competition for places.
Mourinho could push a deal through quickly after demanding his board back him with funds during the summer transfer window.
