Leicester want Bolton boss and club legend Neil Lennon to replace Nigel Pearson
LEICESTER are set to turn to their former player Neil Lennon as replacement for the axed Nigel Pearson.
Neil Lennon has been earmarked as a replacement for the sacked Nigel Pearson
The ex-Celtic manager, currently at Bolton, is regarded as a legendary figure in the East Midlands due to his combative style during the Foxes' glory years of the late 1990s.
Lennon earned two League Cups and established his side as a force in the Premier League.
He is understood to be keen on a move back to the club where he made his name and Bolton were last night [WEDNESDAY] understood to be concerned over his future.
No approach has yet been made by Leicester who are drawing up a list of candidates.

Lennon is understood to have a gentlemen's agreement with Phil Gartside that allows him to leave for about £500,000 compensation should a Premier League side come calling.
Sean Dyche and Martin O'Neill are other contenders but former West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is believed to be out of consideration.
