Arsenal confirm five-player exodus including injury-prone Abou Diaby
ABOU DIABY'S Arsenal career has finally come to an end after the club released the midfielder.
Abou Diaby (centre) played just one game for Arsenal last season, against Southampton
Diaby is one of five men let go by Arsenal after his contract expired today.
The Frenchman made 180 appearances over a 10-year career at Arsenal that was ravaged by injuries.
He managed just one appearance in each of the last two seasons at Arsenal and leaves the Emirates Stadium alongside Jack Jebb, Austin Lipman, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Josh Vickers.
In a statement, the club said of Diaby: "A hugely talented midfielder, unfortunately his time at the club was interrupted by a number of serious injuries. Diaby has also represented France on 16 occasions.
"Arsenal would like to take this opportunity to thank Abou, Jack, Austin, Brandon and Josh for their contribution to the club and to wish them well for the future."
