The forward has just returned to Old Trafford following a season-long loan spell with Real Madrid.
However, Louis van Gaal is searching for a new attacker to lead United's line, and Hernandez will be allowed to depart for a new club.
Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb claims that Inter Milan and Juventus are monitoring the situation, but believe Liverpool are favourites to sign the Mexican.
Brendan Rodgers has already signed Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino, but would apparently like Chicharito alongside them at Anfield next season.
