Christian Eriksen: Tottenham can rival Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United next season
TOTTENHAM midfielder Christian Eriksen believes Spurs can push-on and challenge the established top four next season.
Christian Eriksen says Tottenham can push into the top four next season
The north London side finished fifth in the 2014/15 campaign, just six points off Manchester United, and Eriksen is sure the team can go one better.
When asked what Tottenham's new objectives are, he replied: "The same as last season, but to do better.
"We're in a similar position to where we were last year so hopefully next season we'll take a step up and really compete with all teams across the board."
And Eriksen admits the necessary players for a top-four push are already at the club, and there is no need for Mauricio Pochettino to spend big this summer.
Toby Alderweireld is a target for Tottenham
He added: "We have the squad and the team to do it, so hopefully 2015-16 will be better and we can make further progress."
However, despite Eriksen's assurances Tottenham are expected to sign a few new faces, with Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld high on the list.
The Southampton loanee is said to be close to a move to White Hart Lane, according to reports in the Telegraph.
