MONACO midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is set to undergo a medical at Inter Milan tomorrow ahead of his summer move.
Geoffrey Kondogbia set for medical at Inter Milan tomorrow
That is according to Sky Sports Italia, who claim the France international has agreed a five-year deal at Inter after Monaco accepted their £28.6million bid.
Inter's fierce rivals AC Milan revealed earlier today that the 22-year-old had rejected their contract proposal on Friday after the Nerazzurri offered a more lucrative wage.
“At 1.30 it was all done,” CEO Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. “Monaco had given us the all-clear for the sale at €40m (28.6m) with payment spread over two years, €20m (£14.3m) and €20m.
“The agreement with Geoffrey had already been sorted out the night before and was confirmed that same morning by him and his father.
“After we exchanged the documentation, at 1.30pm everyone disappeared. Evidently the others offered more.”
Arsenal were also believed to be an admirer of the midfielder, but boss Arsene Wenger looks set to miss out as Kondogbia prepares for tomorrow's medical at Inter.
