Arsenal Transfer News: Higuain heading to Emirates, £40m Porto U-turn, £11m PSG setback
EXPRESS SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news coming from the Emirates Stadium.
Gonzalo Higuain Player Profile
Former Napoli star Jose Alberti is confident Arsenal will fend off interest from Manchester United to sign Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Alberti told media outlet Calcio Napoli 24: “In my opinion, I’m 90% sure he will go to Arsenal.
“It is not possible that a player like him wants to remain at Napoli this year after missing out on the Champions League."
The Portuguese giants were previously reluctant to let the 25-year-old leave in the summer, but reports now suggest they are now open to offers.
Arsene Wenger has been impressed by the Algerian international's form this season, in which he's managed 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic set for Paris Saint-Germain stay
Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their £11m pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the Ligue 1 champions unwilling to sell the Swede.
His gent Mino Raiola told Journal du Dimanche: "He has a contract and cannot just decide to leave by himself.
"President Nasser Al-Khelaifi was asked about this and said no, PSG will not sell Ibrahimovic."
