MANCHESTER UNITED have tied up a deal to keep Sam Grimshaw at the club.
Louis van Gaal has added Grimshaw to his squad
The 21-year-old Glossop North End full-back will train with the Red Devils this summer in the hope of securing a permanent contract with Louis van Gaal's side.
Grimshaw joined United on a week-long trial but has impressed so much the deal has been extended to cover pre-season.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "I got a call from my agent saying they wanted to take a look at me.
"It was brilliant news. It is a big opportunity of course with United and I have got to try and take the chance as I have always been a fan of the club.
"They asked me to go in for a one week trial and that was extended until the end of the season.
"Now they want me to go back in July. I cannot wait."
