United were linked with a £45million move to Kane last week.
Kane has scored 30 goals for Spurs this season and broken into the England set up.
According to the Daily Mail, the north London club insist that Kane will not be sold this summer and the player is not expected to agitate for a move.
I see that I buy everyone in the world but it is not like that.
But Spurs could respond to the speculation by given him yet another pay rise.
Kane was given a new deal at the start of the season, but Spurs gave him a fresh £35,000-a-week contract after he made his England debut.
And it is claimed that Tottenham are ready to hold talks with Kane in the near future over bumping those wages up closer to £60,000-a-week.
Harry Kane could earn another pay rise at Spurs
Van Gaal dodged a question on United's interest in Kane last week, saying: "I see that I buy everyone in the world but it is not like that.
"Transfers is also a process, it is not 'I want you' and he comes. There are three parties - there is club, player and us."
