Lukas Fabianski pleased to prove point against Arsenal as Swansea grab late winner
LUKAS FABIANSKI admits he was delighted to beat former club Arsenal as Swansea grabbed a 1-0 win at the Emirates this evening.
Fabianski was named man-of-the-match against former side Arsenal
The Poland international spent seven years with the Gunners before joining Garry Monk's side last summer on a free transfer as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Michel Vorm.
Fabianski has been in outstanding form this season, helping Swansea push for a surprise Europa League finish.
And speaking after the game, the 30-year-old admitted that he was delighted to pick up the three points against his former side after Bafetimbi Gomis grabbed a late winner.
We always looked very dangerous on the break and we're happy enough we managed to get one
He said: "I was a little bit emotional before the game, but then when you step onto the pitch you just focus on the game.
"(I'm) just happy with the result. I think the whole team put on a massive effort to get a result and you could see they (Arsenal) were more on the ball but we always looked very dangerous on the break and we're happy enough we managed to get one."
