Louis van Gaal reveals Manchester United squad and staff ROCKED by virus
LOUIS VAN GAAL has revealed a virus has spread through the Manchester United squad and staff.
Louis van Gaal blamed a virus for two absentees at Man Utd
Paddy McNair and Robin van Persie were both left out of the squad, with Phil Jones and Luke Shaw back in the XI for the trip to Selhurst Park.
And Van Gaal, who said himself he is one of the victims of the virus, insisted there was nothing else to it.
"Robin van Persie has been touched by a virus," he said.
"A lot of players have problems and members of staff.
"It is not easy to make a line-up. It is always the same in football."
Van Gaal is seeking a first point in three games with United after overseeing defeats to Chelsea, Everton and West Brom.
