Man Utd Transfer News: £200m spending spree on FIVE stars, Pogba TOP TARGET, Bale blow
EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest from Old Trafford.
Memphis Depay Player Profile
Manchester United's £25million signing of Memphis Depay kicked off Louis van Gaal's summer spending spree.
United wrapped up the Dutch wonderkid yesterday - but Van Gaal is far from finished in the transfer market.
Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels (£30m) and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (£20m) are wanted.
Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne (£20m) is also a key target while Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale (£80m) and Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani (£50m) are pricey but realistic options.
Paul Pogba left Manchester United for Juventus in 2012
According to the Metro, Juventus ace Paul Pogba is a top target for Van Gaal.
It is thought a 'number 6' style midfielder is wanted by the United boss - although Gundogan also fits that billing.
Pogba is rated at £60m and is also being chased by Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Gareth Bale Player Profile
United's chances of landing Bale have taken a blow.
The Welshman's agent Jonathan Barnett insists the world-record signing is going nowhere.
"Why would he look to go elsewhere?" he said.
"Real Madrid are the number one club in the world. There's always interest in him - but as far as we are concerned he'll be at Real Madrid next summer."
