Debuchy: Arsenal WILL challenge Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and City for title next season
MATHIEU DEBUCHY is confident Arsenal can challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Matieu Debuchy sets sights on Premier League title next season
The France international joined the Gunners from Newcastle in the summer for £12million, but injuries have limited him to just 12 Premier League starts.
Arsene Wenger's side can only fight for a second-place finish this term after Chelsea clinched the championship last Sunday.
I am convinced that we will challenge for the title
But Debuchy, 29, is hoping he can make a big impact next campaign and help the north London club to the title.
He said: "I am convinced that we will challenge for the title [next season]. Every big club wants to win it, Arsenal is a big club and it is definitely a target for us all.
"It has been a difficult season for me. I had two injuries, involving two operations, one on my knee, one on my ankle.
"It is a shame because I felt very good with the team, I think I made a good start to the season, so to be off the pitch for almost six months was difficult to deal with."
