Juan Mata pokes fun at Wayne Rooney's CHEEKY goal celebration
JUAN MATA was happy to have a laugh at Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney's expense following his hilarious goal celebration.
Wayne Rooney Player Profile
Rooney fired United's third in their routine 3-0 win over Tottenham yesterday at Old Trafford to tighten their grip on fourth place in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old proceeded to fall back to the ground to mock a video that surfaced of him having a playful sparring session with former United team-mate Phil Bardsley.
Rooney claims the incident didn't distract his focus on helping United get the three points as he said: "It was a few mates in a private house which has somehow managed to get on the front page of a national newspaper. I have to accept that. It was me and a few friends joking around.

It's in my own home, I know it's got out but it's not public
"It's in my own home, I know it's got out but it's not public.
"It's what friends do, they mess around in the house, and unfortunately it has made the front page of a national newspaper. I will just deal with it.
"I've just been focused on the game, it's more interesting for other people rather than for myself. I've done a professional job, got on with the game and gladly helped my team win 3-0."
And Mata saw the funny side of it all, tweeting: 'The Boxer' accompanied with a couple of smiley emoticons.
