Liverpool fans call on Brendan Rodgers to 'take Raheem Sterling off!'
CONCERNED Liverpool fans tweeted their frustration at seeing Raheem Sterling on the pitch during the Reds' FA Cup clash with Bolton this evening.
Raheem Sterling was limping in the second half at Bolton
The attacking star pulled up early in the second half of Liverpool's fourth-round replay and was seen struggling to keep apace with the game.
He has been in superb form for the Reds, scoring five goals in his last 10 outings before tonight's clash in his new central role.
But fans pleaded online for Rodgers to withdraw the 20-year-old so he is fresh for the Merseyside derby at Everton on Saturday.
One fan tweeted: "Take off Markovic and Sterling please I'm tired of this."
Lazar Markovic was subbed off 25 minutes from time with a rib injury and may be a doubt for next weekend's game.
Sterling, however, went on to prove his doubters wrong with a sublime finish as Liverpool ran out 2-1 victors at the Macron Stadium.
