By Joe Short 14:11, Fri, Dec 12, 2014 Link copied Bookmark ROB CASEYAlly McCoist has tendered his resignation at RangersThe 52-year-old is expected to be in charge of his squad against Queens of the South tonight, unless Rangers bosses decide to accept the resignation.He is currently on a 12-month rolling contract, having joined Rangers in the summer of 2011.He followed the club down to the bottom tier of Scottish football after its liquidation a year later.In two seasons he has brought the Ibrox side up to the Scottish Championship.However, any hopes of a Premiership return already appear have gone, as Rangers chase Hearts by nine points at the top of the table.They have won just two of their last five games, including a 3-2 Petrofac Cup semi-final defeat to Alloa.
