Man Utd News: Moyes defended over Fellaini buy, Mata's SILLY superstition, Rooney fitness
FORMER Manchester United boss David Moyes has been defended over his purchase of Marouane Fellaini, while Juan Mata has a 'silly' superstition. Meanwhile, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini isn't fussed about Wayne Rooney's fitness.
Midfielder Marouane Fellaini's career progression so far
Moyes has been defended for splashing out on Fellaini.
The Red Devils spent £27.5million on the afro-haired Belgian in August 2013, but they missed out on his former Everton team-mate Leighton Baines.
Toffees veteran Leon Osman said: "It's disappointing how sour it has since turned between the fans and Moyes after he bought Fellaini and tried to get Leighton Baines."
Mata has revealed he has a 'silly' superstition.
This involves putting on his left boot first before walking onto the pitch.
He said: "They’re only silly little things but I always do them."
Pellegrini insists he isn't worried whether Rooney will be fit for the Manchester derby.
Rooney is thought to have picked a niggle in training and could be a doubt for the Etihad showdown.
But Pellegrini said: "We really don't change our way to play for some player, or other player."
