REVEALED: What forced Radamel Falcao and Phil Jones out of Man Utd's Chelsea clash?
DESPITE missing Manchester United's draw against Chelsea, injured Radamel Falcao is not expected to be out for long but the news is less positive for defender Phil Jones.
Falcao was forced out of United's game today after picking up a knock in training but manager Louis van Gaal is not too concerned about the injury to his star player.
"We'll have to wait and see, but I don’t think the injury is too bad, today’s match came too soon for him," he said after the game.
However, the news on Phil Jones was less positive after the Manchester United boss revealed the defender was suffering from shin splints.
"Jones has shin splints, so we’ll have to wait and see because it’s not too easy to recover from," said the Dutch manager.
Jones was replaced by Chris Smalling while James Wilson was on the bench in place of Falcao for today's game against Chelsea.
Robin van Persie rescued a point for Manchester United after scoring an injury-time equaliser against the Blues.
