Brighton boss Sami Hyypia expects Newcastle and Spurs bids for star defender Lewis Dunk
BRIGHTON boss Sami Hyypia admits he'd be surprised if Lewis Dunk didn't attract offers in January from the Premier League.
I would be surprised if the interest wasn't there
The centre-half has been a stand-out performer in a struggling Seagulls side this term, with five goals to his name already.
Premier League pair Newcastle and Tottenham have reportedly sent their scouts to watch the 22-year-old in action in recent weeks as the winter window approaches.
But Hyypia is hoping to keep hold of the young defender's services.

The former Liverpool defender said: "I'm very happy that he is playing well and he has been a very important player for us.
"I would be surprised if the interest wasn't there but I hope he stays here and keeps playing like he's playing. It's very important you keep your best players.
“I know it's not always easy to do that and the players sometimes have different ideas or goals they want to achieve but we are trying to do everything we can to keep the best players here."
