Gonzalo Higuain ready to REJECT chance to replace Mario Balotelli at Liverpool
GONZALO HIGUAIN is ready to reject the opportunity to replace Mario Balotelli at Liverpool and isn't interested in a move to Arsenal either.
Reports this week suggested that Liverpool were ready to offer £31m to bring the Napoli striker to Anfield with Mario Balotelli failing to impress so far this season.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Argentine international, who is reportedly unhappy at missing out on the Champions League with his current club.
But the player's brother, Federico, insists that those reports are wide of the mark and that the former Real Madrid man will remain in Serie A.
He told calciomercato: "I have read and heard different things about my brother, but none of these things correspond to reality.

His future is still with the Partenopei.
"People have spoken of the disappointment of not qualifying for the Champions League, and that this has caused resentment from Gonzalo.
"Nothing could be further from the truth. When I speak to my brother he is calm, and happy to wear the shirt of Napoli.
"His future is still with the Partenopei."
It now remains to be seen whether Liverpool or Arsenal are prepared to test Napoli's resolve to hold onto Higuain in January or whether these comments will put an end to the matter.
