Roberto Martinez has had a dig at Liverpool, saying they have failed to properly replace Luis Suarez.
The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton, but the goals haven't been as free flowing for Brendan Rodgers' side this term.
He said: "Suarez is not there any more and that is a big difference. He was on form and was a big player at the club."
The Reds face an uphill battle to clinch Eduardo Salvio's signature.
The winger is valued at £34million, but Manchester United are also keeping a tab on him.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old in the past.
Mamadou Sakho faces a dressing down from Brendan Rodgers.
The defender was omitted from Rodger's match-day squad, but didn't stick around to see his team-mates play out a 1-1 draw.
Sakho later tweeted: "I really want to apologise to the club, the supporters and every person who felt offended when I left the stadium."
