They're not title class! Arsenal legend writes off Gunners' Premier League chances
ARSENAL can't compete with Chelsea and Manchester City for the title, claims Gunners legend Frank McLintock.
The north London outfit have started the season, and currently occupy fourth spot in the table.
Despite always qualifying for the Champions League with Arsene Wenger at the helm, the Gunners are yet to lift the title since 2004.
And McLintock, who was a double winner for the Gunners in 1971, believes the Gunners are still a way off challenging for the title.
"It will be a big struggle for Arsenal to compete with Man City and Chelsea,” he told talkSPORT.
Arsenal v Tottenham - Premier League Preview
They will be third or fourth again. Nine seasons have gone and they have won just one FA Cup
“They will be third or fourth again. Nine seasons have gone and they have won just one FA Cup.
“It would be lovely to see us actually challenging for the title, or really doing well in the European Cup.
“I can’t see them being particularly strong though.
"Now they are out of the Capital One Cup, it will be third or fourth position and an FA Cup [run]. I can’t see us doing much better than that.”
